After being announced on a local radio station 200 fans showed up for the video-shoot. After the video shoot a 25-minute interview was held with Prince of which 18-minutes aired on 15-11 on MTV. Originally the interview was conducted by Steve Fargnoli, but on the broadcasted version his voice was replaced by the voice of Wendy Melvoin.
After the shoot and the interview they played a 4-song set. Eric Leeds and Eddie Minnifield were flown in for the shoot.
