This was Prince's first tour in 5 years in the US, since the 1988 Lovesexy tour, playing 25 concerts. The shows were played in smaller venues to guarantee sold-out houses. During the shows he made remarks about his situation with Warner Brothers. The stage was similar to the Diamonds And Pearls tour. Morris (Mr.) Hayes replaced Rosie Gaines. Morris Hayes was the keyboard player for Carmen Electra who did some openings on the Diamonds And Pearls Tour.
